~ 1920/30’s Alpha Farnell White Monkey w/ label
This is Mr Suave. He is such an amazing monkey! He is instantly appealing, and stands out so beautifully in a hug!!! He was made by the English Company Farnell in the 1920/30’s.
He is fully jointed measuring around 18.5 inches, and is weightily stuffed with woodwool. Although he has some wear to his hands, feet & face he is in wonderful, sturdy, very clean condition; with lovely felt face with detailing, original glass eyes, perfect ears, dense white wavy mohair with long tail, along with Farnell Alpha toys foot label!!
He is just so special, i’m really taken with him (as is the robin the photograph)! What i adore about him is how distinctive he is – I’ve never seen a monkey like him along with his shape and movement! He poses so effortlessly and (in a lovely way) follows you around the room.
With his beautiful wavy mohair and more gentle face he seems to be the perfect mix of a bear and monkey – and would be perfect for any collection.
