Wonderful Bing teddy bear with a story This bear was presented to Karl August on his first birthday on February 28th 1923. In 1940 Karl had to go to war but teddy stayed at home, the boy doesn’t came back, his aunt and uncle were preserve the bears,they hope in vain to see their nephews again, with photo, with letter and examination certificate and a letter by a teacher, 51 cm, glass eyes, slight mohair loss, 3 paws were over sewed, clearly hump, long snaped off arms, nice expression

The above is a translation from German telling the story of Karls bear. He is a superb Bing bear from the early 1920’s with that typical Bing profile. Glass eyes, original nose stitching, one original foot pad and other pads neatly recovered. Hard stuffed with a now non working growler that clunks. This is a superb example of a 1920’s Bing teddy bear with a very soulful expression. Karl’s bear comes complete with the original photograph a letter in German explaining his story a photocopy of his birth certificate. These wonderful bears are very sought after today. Bing ceased trading in 1932 making these lovely bears very hard to find
