Adorable old bear.Sadly do not know his makers name for sure.He was given to me when I was born.(Feb 1950).He has worn well has been stored away since I was a child.My own grandchildren weren’t interested in him,!!His overall condition is good for his age.He has a balding golden brown coat and his jointed limbs are stuffed with wood.His head is solid.His pads are scuffed (the paws much more than his feet)They are made of an oilskin type fabric the surface of which has rubbed away exposing a linen like material.His face is quite rounded and his muzzle stumpy the nose is stitched downwards into a small mouth.All the stitching is original nothing has been repaired or replaced.He has a firm place central to his front that may indicate that he had a voice or growler at one time.I would like to hope that he would make a lovely addition to someone’s collection.(Quite recently an ebayer has said he was possibly made for Marks & Spencer?)
