Meet Peter, a sweet old bear, who is 14 tall. I think hes either a Chiltern or Chad Valley bear, but Im not sure which (very little nose stitching left which usually helps with identification). He has his original paw pads (looks like they are rexine, but the waxed bit has all worn off, leaving just a sort of cotton fabric) and original claw stitching, too. His head is stuffed with wood wool, but the rest of him is stuffed with something softer (kapok?) and rather charmingly saggy in some places. One ear has been reattached at some point and could do with a bit of work. He has some patches of his light golden mohair remaining. He has small amber glass eyes – one of which is a little loose – and I wouldnt like to say whether theyre original or not. He is fully jointed and all joints are moving, some more smoothly than others. He has a non-working squeaker in his tummy and a small dark mark on his chest. Peter is a lovely old bear who is looking for a new home.Really sorry, will only post within the UK – no international postage.
