Gerald is a bear with lots of personality. In spite of his somewhat pedestrian name, he has a bit of a showbiz streak in his nature. His signature move is the ‘ta-dah’ and is shown off to best effect in Pic one. This comes naturally to Gerald. He doesn’t have movable limbs so the pose has somewhat been foist upon him by circumstance. But he uses it to full effect and knows how to work a crowd.
This cheeky little monkey of a bear has a very dry sense of humour to match his straw filling. He has a mohair coat, a long-ish snout and abhors smoking. Seated, he measures 12in tall and when performing the full on ‘ta-dah’, he measures almost the same again at full stretch paw to paw.Gerald doesn’t like to speak of his age, though we suspect he came into this world at some point during the 1950s. His parentage is a mystery, although Chad Valley and Chiltern have both been mentioned – in hushed tones and out of earshot. If anyone can shed any further light on Gerald’s heritage, I’m sure he’d be most grateful. However, be warned, he is likely to express his gratitude in a more roundabout way although he has been known to give a full-on and somewhat crushing bear hug when moved to do so.He’s a quirky one but to know him is to love him. Take a look at his pictures and you’ll see he is bursting with personality; so much so he has had a couple of stitches in his back. He can ‘bearly’ contain his excitement to meet you. So bid early and have lots of honey at the ready. He doesn’t take well to disappointment. Please don’t let him down!Questions will be answered on his behalf. If you require a personal response, cross his paw with silver.
