American Antique Large Teddy Bear 25. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class., signed for. This gorgeous bear needs a new loving home, hes too big for my cabinets now , so having a clear out! He has a very pronounced snout, possibly Ideal company with his distinctive nose stitching!! He measures 25-27 to top of ears! He is stuffed with wood wool throughout and made from a very bright gold short pile mohair! His face has faded but not his only ear! The other is a not wonderful replacement but I havent found any other material to replicate a better one! Not easy to get colour right or the fabric! It doesnt notice that much, examine photos closely! This teddy bears the brunt of years and years of cuddles, so the pads and paws are old replacements which I have left as part of his history ! They are not too difficult to replace , but I dont know whats under them! He looks fabulous with a collection of teddies or sitting on his own! I have put a cute embroidered babies jacket on him!! Probably made late 1920s. I collect only English bears really and only bought him because he looks so different with that long snout! Time to go though!! General condition of fur is good all over , no bare patches just colour difference!!! Please ask questions if not sure!!
