Very cute vintage Chad Valley mohair teddy bear, dating from 1950s,bearing two original labels – side label and Royal Warranty label to the right foot pad,
made of gold mohair,
feels to be stuffed with kapok throughout the body and head, wood-wool in the muzzle,
fully jointed,
has got original orange and black glass eyes,original vertically stitched nose, inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original rexine type pads to all limbs with some general wear to paint,
no claws stitching,
has got inoperative squeaker in his tummy,remains of red thread on his chest where original swing tag used to be.
Teddy Bear is approx. 14″ (36 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in good vintage condition with slight general wear and thinning.
