Gorgeous vintage teddy bear – possibly Deans or Chad Valley teddy bear from the 1940s.
He is fully jointed – previous owner has stitched head to body – all other joints nice and tight. He has lost some of his stuffing from the top of his body – hence his head sits slouched onto his chest – like a grumpy old man!! He is stuffed with a mixture of wood wool and kapok stuffing. His stuffing has also compacted together in the centre of his chest where his squeaker has been pressed over the years – squeaker no longer works.
He is made from a lovely curly gold coloured mohair – sparse in places. He measures approximately 17″ in height. He has unfortunately lost his original glass eyes – he has black stitched eyes currently. He has a black stitched nose and mouth.
His pads are made from a brown rexine material – small hole in left pad.
