Vintage 1950s Steiff Growling Teddy Bear. Condition is “Used”. Dispatched with Hermes,tracked & signed for.Delivery is free.
This is a much loved bear,slight wear to the fur in places but in otherwise excellent condition with growler still working.(please see photos for detail)Was purchased by my Mother in Germany in the 50s.The tag was removed from the ear as she was worried I would eat it!!(In all fairness to her I had just swallowed a button from my Fathers Army dress uniform so he had to go on parade with one missing) The hole where the tag was removed is visible on the right ear,please see last photo.
Features :movable limbs & head,humped back,dark brown stitching on nose,paws & feet,brown eyes & mushroom coloured fur.The growler is still in working order.Lovely face & very soft fur.Height is 36 cm standing & 27cm sitting down.
Had the tag still been present I would be asking more, he is an unusual colour so very collectible.Thank you for looking & happy bidding!
