Very rare novelty bear doll, this little guy is over 100 years old and a true antique. Probably American in origin. Manufacturer unknown but probably Harman or the New York Mtg. co. This is one of the earliest ones as his head (probably imported from Germany) is composition. He has a mohair body with felt mitten hands and boots. He is fully jointed and looks to be stuffed with horse hair. He has a non working squeaker in his tummy. Overall his body is in good condition with damage to his felt boots. There are chips to his head and the paint on his eyes has faded. Please see photos as they form part of the description. A wonderful addition to any doll or bear collection. Realistic starting price due to the rarity of the doll.
