Martha is a really beautiful example of the much sought-after early white Steiff Bears. Although shes had some repair to her right arm and paw pads (please see photos) and some strengthening stitches on a cheek, she has a gorgeous coverage of clean white blonde fur, the most lustrous and soft Ive seen in such an old bear. She has all original features including boot-button eyes, some original felt on paw pads, original nose and mouth stitching and even claw stitching in the traditional apricot thread. And of course she has her prized long F button in her ear. Measuring 13.5 from ear to toe, straw-stuffed, with long arms and snout, hump and silent growler, Martha has a very charmingly cute expression and is lovely and clean and cuddly.
