This beautiful antique black velvet elephant was made during the 1920s and is in wonderful condition and is very unusual.
He is stuffed completely with a soft kapok stuffing and is unjointed.
He is made entirely of black velvet and is as wonderful as the day he was made, with no fading to his velvet at all!!
Unsure of country of origin or of maker – possibly British?? Measures approximately 8″ in height.
Only damage is tear to velvet on back of trunk – please see photos.
Stuffed with kapok throughout.
Very unusual and rare example of a vintage elephant.
