~ Teddy Solney & Deans Doll
This is Teddy Solney an early 1900’s English WJ Terry Bear, and his friend “Dolly” – who’s really name actually begins with a G but i’m not able to list with his full name :-) – who was made by Deans.Teddy Solney is a really handsome, pure antique English bear who is over 100 years old – incredible! He measures around 14 inches tall, is fully jointed, well stuffed with woodwool with a good weight to him. He retains his original painted back glass eyes and part of his original nose stitching. Clearly teddy Solney is left handed as his hand pad has been wrapped over on itself, and his left foot has been patched! He does however have remains of his original pads, and if desired would be a wonderful tlc project .. though he’s also wonderful just as he is! Terry bears are fairly rare – and just wonderful bears, their build is so true to the very early bears, and each one has it’s own character … i am astounded that Teddy Solney has made it through owners passing away, house moves and two world wars!!! Teddy Solney needs a new home with his best friend “Dolly” who was made by Deans and retains his label. He measures around 16 inches tall and has such a cute face!I’m in no doubt this old little English pair would make a wonderful addition to any home.
For peace of mind, these teds come from a smoke free home. :-)
