What a cute antique Merrythought dressed (non- jointed), toy rabbit this is.
He has a Merrythought label stitched to the inner right seam of his blue velvet trousers – please see relevant image. I think that this label, and the style of the rabbit’s outfit (i.e. Dutch style), probably dates the toy to the 1930’s.
I have done some internet research but could not find another one quite like him available for sale to make a direct comparison.
This dear old soft dressed toy rabbit has come to me together with a lovely group of similar character toys, and all of these, I think, date from 1920’s to late 1930’s era.

Wearing his original outfit, this fine, and good quality old toy rabbit, is filled with a mix of wood-wool and kapok. His velvet clothes are original, as are his glass eyes, nose stitching and whiskers. I have added the ribbon neck-tie.
He has a few small imperfections, so please read the written condition report, but do view all of the images as these will be the most helpful part of the description and condition report.
