SUPERB Orig Cond 21″ 1940’s White Draylon Chiltern Bear
This is Rose. She is an absolutely wonderful bear in superb condition. I never like to say mint for antique bears, but she is the closest I’ve seen to it ever with a white dralon Chiltern! – they are often more worn and the fur is discoloured.
She measures 21 inches tall, is fully jointed and stuffed with woodwool and kapok. She is completely original with glass eyes, stitched facial features, claws, velveteen pads which are clean with no holes, and card lined feet! She is covered in clean super soft white dralon and has a working “punch” squeaker.
Rose is so appealing, so endearing and I cannot comprehend how she dates to the 1940’s – she was clearly adored, and very much looked after! (look at those clean pads and fur!). I will never see such a good condition white dralon again.
She’s utterly joyous, would make a very special addition to a home, and would also be a very special Mothers Day present.
She’s shown here with her Chiltern ted friend Buckley who’s also available for adoption.
