DELIGHTFUL OLD ANTIQUE c1930’s CHILTERN HUGMEE TEDDY BEAR 17″

This adorable old early Chiltern Hugmee teddy bear measure approximately 17 inches in height and dates from around circa 1930’s.He is four way jointed, all joints are firm and tight.He has a wood wool filled/stuffed head, whilst his body and limbs are stuffed with kapok.His stuffing is firmly and evenly distributed and he poses very nicely.He has a non functioning growler located in his tummy.His mohair is beautifully clean soft and shiny, and he has no musty or unpleasant odours of any sort. He has a shaved muzzle, typical of a pre war 1930’s Chiltern Hugmee.His mohair retains approximately 95% coverage.He has original (stitched in) clear glass eyes, and original dark brown stitched nose and mouth.He has original brown velvet paw pads on all four paws, and his feet pads both retain their original cardboard inserts (under the velvet). His paw pads are complete, but his left upper paw pad has some rubbing (see photos), his right upper paw pad is in very good condition. His left foot pad also has some rubs to the velvet, and his right foot pad has a few light rubs also. His paw pads have a couple of very old extremely neat unobtrusive stitched repairs (where the velvet is stitched to the mohair) but these are not very evident and do not detract from his undoubted charm.All four paw pads retain their original dark brown two by two (four) stitched claws.He is wearing very smart scarlet, blue and dark yellow vintage ribbons around his neck which suit him very well indeed.I have included lots of supersized photos with this listing, all photos were taken outdoors in order to show the condition of this adorable old Chiltern bear as clearly as possible.
