Rare find – vintage Merrythought teddy bear made during the 1930s. In loved condition with wear and balding to mohair to chest, left leg and back of head – age and played with related – please see photos for condition.
Fully jointed – right leg joint very loose, stuffed with kapok stuffing throughout, has orange/black glass eyes and original black stitched nose (longer outer stitches) and mouth. Shaved muzzle, typical of this era, and original brown felt pads with original black “webb” stitching and remains of black claws on feet. Some holes to felt feet pads.
Can see stitching where original Merrythought label once was on right foot pad.
Measuring approximately 18 ” in height.
