Very cute and rare to find antique British United Toy Manufacturing ‘Omega’ teddy bear, modeled as nightdress case, dating from 1930s,
made of gold mohair with integral red velvet trousers,
feels to be stuffed with kapok throughout the limbs and wood-wool in the head,
unjointed,
has got orange and black glass eyes,pronounced clipped muzzle,
original black vertically stitched nose with nostrils, inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original felt pads in good condition,
three claws stitching to all limbs.
Metal zip runs on the back, revealing cotton lined compartment.
Teddy Bear is approx. 20″ (50 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in good vintage condition with some general wear and thinning, staining to the right leg (please see pictures).
