Foxy bear…An early,British antique teddy bear.Affectionately known by previous owners, at St Annes-on-Sea Toy & Teddy bear museum.Wonderful and interesting early British teddy bear with some characteristics of both Harwin and Omega teddy bears,possibly more likely Omega.Measuring an impressive 26″ from pads to tips of ears.Large cupped ears which are sewn in to the head.Original large oily glass eyes with large black pupils.Original stitched nose which is showing a little wear.As images show the mouth has been added recently and could be much better.Teddy has a heavy old clonky growler which is inoperative.Long arms,wide hips and a high hump.Mohair is of good quality and he retains a good amount with some wear especially around joints and bottoms of pads.Cotton pads which are original but show wear around the seams.There are a few small areas with old repairs including his inner thigh but generally for a large bear and over a hundred years old, he is in good sturdy condition with so much character.Displays beautifully and comes with his leather collar and bells which have been with teddy for a while.From non smoking home.Please note due to his weight when packed shipping is for U.K only.Any questions please ask..
