~ Rare 1920/30’s Boxed Farnell Baby Rattle Pram Toy Bear
This is a very interesting little bear! He measures around 6inches tall, dates to the 1920’s/30’s and has all the characteristics of being a Farnell Bear.
He is a teddy pram toy rattle! He is a rare bear as I have never come across a bear like him, and he’s just adorable. He has glass eyes, stitched facial features, mohair head & arms, with a felt and cotton outfit & 4 very jingly bells.
Someone has clearly loved him dearly, and he would benefit from some caring tlc if desired; stitches to hold areas in place (e.g one foot needs a couple of stitches to secure properly) and maybe some work on his outfit.
He was clearly snuggled and cuddled by a little one .. and then has been kept in a lined box to keep him safe – precious memories. He fits in the box really nicely so he seems to have been in it for some time.
He’s a lovely bear who’s on his way towards being a century old! He would be a special teddy for the right home, and he hopes to be treasured once more.
