This is Podge who is currently one of my favourites – he oozes so much character and dates to the 50’s. He is 15 inches tall, fully jointed and solidly stuffed (he is on the chubby side hence his name!) – he has a growler which can make a tiny sound when you shake him – not a lot though!His pads are rexine and show signs of wear and crude repairs. He has lost a lot of mohair but has enough to keep him warm (with the addition of his poncho!) and he has clearly been kissed a lot as his nose and mouth stitching has largely gone – however, in think this is what makes him him! In addition his eyes are replacements but once again suit him beautifully. Podge is, in my opinion, exactly as an old bear should be – a bit rough around the edges but full of charm – all he needs now is a home for 2018 xxx
