A lovely early bear dating to the 20’s – cork filled so could well be a very early Chad Valley – he has the looks of an old Chad. He is 15 inches tall and fully jointed with a non-working squeaker. His pads have been repaired at various points – real “mommy” repairs but I like them as they are all part of his history. He retains probably 50-60% of his mohair which has darkened with age and he has had a stitched repair to his tummy. He has a wonderful face with pronounced muzzle – not a lot of nose stitching remaining but once again I love him just as he is. He will come wearing his lovely old coat and bell – a super old bear in need of a home xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
