Delightful Vintage Teddy Bear. made by Happy Child Toys, Yorkshire, Made in England . (See detail of label image 2) I cannot find any information about this manufacturer but judging by his style the bear most likely dates from approx late1950’s -1960’s era. Bear is 10 inches tall, made of mohair plush and has a fairly soft stuffing material. Head arms and legs are all articulated. Bear has brown plastic eyes and medium/dark brown colour embroidered claws on feet and paws. He also has dark brown embroidered nose and mouth. Bear is in very good condition with no loss of pile or worn areas. He is still a lovely golden colour and shows no fading. There is a small area of discolouration on his back which hardly notices in normal light.. ( see image 5) . A truly lovely little bear.
