Old Vintage Worn Teddy Bear. Vintage Antique Old Bear.Roland is a characterful, old, worn vintage teddy bear who I think dates to the early 1950s, but he could be older. He has been very well loved over his years, and as noted in the sellers notes he is a shabby looking bear ! Having said that, Roland has the look of a classic maker, a Pedigree or Deans, but any label he did have has long gone. Roland has jointed limbs and a fixed head. He has amber and black glass eyes, a wood wool stuffed snout and stitched nose and mouth, which would have been re stitched at some point. Roland’s pads are very worn and used to be velvet . All are in vintage condition with wear, including a small hole to his upper left paw pad and a repair to his lower left pad. His body is filled with a kapok and has a sparse, patchy coverage of mohair. Roland stands at about 13 inches tall. He is no longer suitable as a toy.
