You are invited to bid on this group of pre-loved antique and vintage teddy bears, dating to between approximately the 1920s and 1950s. They have all been well loved and three of them are in a very worn condition from lots of hugging and loving. They are as follows:Antique teddy bear dating to approximately the 1920s. He is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips, but one leg has been off at some point and has been stitched back on so it no longer moves. He is virtually bald with remains of golden mohair fur. He is stuffed with straw and has a small hump at the top of his back. He has glass eyes and a stitched nose. He measures 14.5″ tall. He is very worn. His paw pads on his feet have been recovered, and his front paws have been replaced with black cotton. He has repairs to his belly and arms. His head is very worn with holes to his forehead where straw is exposed. He is dressed in later clothes – knitted blue dungarees, yellow jumper and red duffle coat. This bear is a real character and has obviously been loved by generations of children.Small antique teddy bear also dating to approximately the 1920s. He has hardly any fur left, just a few hints here and there. He has boot button eyes. All four paws have been replaced with black cotton. He has some stitched repairs and a small hole to his neck. He measures 10″ long. He is dressed in later clothes – a pair of knitted blue trousers and a red coat. Another great character, also much loved and worn.Small vintage teddy bear dating to approximately the 1950s. He is made out of brown plush and has amber & black glass eyes, and black stitched nose and mouth. He is wearing a red ribbon round his neck. He has a very serious but quite appealing face. He is in fairly good condition with evidence of neatly stitched repairs to the tops of his arms. He is a little grubby. He measures 12″ long.Vintage panda dating to approximately 1950s/60s. He is very worn and the bottom half of his body has been replaced with white cotton. The rest of his body is made of very worn black and white plush. He has plastic eyes and a stitched nose. He measures 16″ long.A lovely antique and vintage group, and a fine addition to your bear collection.
