Old vintage antique teddy bear. Vintage Deans teddy bear.Sonny is a characterful 14 inch vintage teddy bear made by the English company Deans . His tag dates him to being born somewhere around 1950s to early 1960s as far as I can tell. Sonny is in vintage condition having hand stitched features, along with black and brown eyes.The left eye has a very slight chip and the right eye is on the loose side but still well attached. He has lovely thick mohair plush coverage overall which is a cinnamon colour. There is some thinning and rifting of the fur in places but this does not affect his overall appeal. Sonny is is five way jointed, with good joint connections.He has has brown velvet type paw pads which are in good, vintage order.He is soft stuffed throughout with a crunchy wood wool snout and there seems to be the remains of an old squeaker in his chest, but sadly this no longer works. All in all he is in good shape for an old English chap.Sonny does show signs of age and lovewear, and is not intended to be used as a toy as he does not have the safety features associated with modern teddy bears.I post Monday to Friday as promptly as is possible.
