Sweet 1940’s-50’s Chiltern Hugmee panda teddy bear.
Standing at 16″ tall this black and white mohair panda teddy bear was made by Chiltern circa 1940-1950’s and he is in good condition for his age with all his original features intact and some loss of his creamy white mohair on his tummy, arms and head, but nothing that detracts too badly from his overall condition and he has a very good coverage of his black plush. I would estimate he has retained approximately 85% coverage overall.
All of his original features are intact including his amber and black glass eyes which are backed with black felt and black cotton thread nose and mouth stitching. His velvet pads are in very good clean condition with no holes or damage or loss to the velvet pile and he has four claw stitches on his feet and paws. There is also has a press squeaker in his tummy but this is no longer working.
He really is a gorgeous looking panda bear with a typical Chiltern hugmee look about him and a shy but inquisitive expression and he would make a wonderful addition to any hug.
