Unusual little 1940-50’s Chiltern black mohair cat soft toy teddy bear.
This little mohair cat was made by Chiltern in the 1940’s-50’s and is more unusual with black mohairas they were more commonly made with blue grey or white plush. He is unjointed and firmly stuffed with
wood wool and is in good period condition with all his original features intact including his humanised
glass eyes and black felt ears and apart from a little thinning and some small bare spots, he has retained
a good 95%+ of his mohair coverage. There is a small stitched repair at the base of his tail and his left ear is a bit nibbled around the edges but with no other damage.
He measures 6″ long from the tip of his nose to the base of his tail and stands at 7″ tall and would make a great companion to a larger bear or as an addition to any hug of bears and soft toys.
