A very collectable owl made by Alresford Crafts in England.This could be Ollie / Oliver the Owl The age of this particular item has been hard to pin down, but I would say in the region of the early 1970s – on the history pages they say that the owl, honey bear and kangaroo were highly popular and made around the in the first mill ‘town mill’ – this can be easily researched, by viewing pages of the history of Alresford Crafts. Please view the the label to verify the millA gorgeous owl. It’s light honey chest and a chocolate brown back with flecks of green and red shimmer. She has black felt eyes. She is well stuffed with no sagging.She measures approx 9″ I’m not an official grader of bears but it appears in very good condition.fur nice and bright, bright eyes. However there is some balding to the suede beak and feet – please see pics for ref.A real opportunity to add an extra special vintage bear to your collection.
