Cute little 1950’s Chad Valley? polar bear cub soft toy teddy bear..
This little polar bear cub has been loved as you can see from the photos but he is a real character with all of his original features intact, including his amber and black glass eyes, moulded composition nose and a little red felt tongue poking out of his mouth. He has a jointed head so he can be nicely
posed and I think he looks very sweet when he is sat up on his haunches. He feels like he is stuffed with a mixture of wood wool and kapok and measures 9.5″ long from nose to tail and stands at 5.5″ tall.
His mohair plush is thinning slightly in places with a few tiny bare spots but I would estimate he has retained a good 95%+ coverage overall and he has such a playful and happy expression that I would
think he is meant to be little cub! He no longer has any labels and I am not sure of his maker but heis a well made toy and could be Chad Valley or possibly Chiltern? He is a lovely characterful cub and would make a great companion to a larger bear or as an addition to any hug of bears and soft toys.
