Old Rare Antique French C1920s FADAP Rose Teddy Bear. Condition is Used. As expected for age. I am no expert valuer on bears just a collector who occasionaly moves on his bear collection. i will try and give a condition report the best and honestly as i can.This is what i believe to be a Antique C1920s French FADAP Rose Teddy Bear. It has rose gold mohair with one glass eye. The other was missing when i purchased the bear ao i got a replacement plstic eye to go in tye left eye. They were not identical but roughly same size. They are both loose and will need stiching back into place. i will leave them as i dont know how to fix them properly amd you may yourself know whereas to get original glass eye to match the other where as i dont. The nose looks as if at some point it may have been restiched. It has its original felt pads with some slight wear as shown in photos. Brown claw stiching, excelsior filled. Unfortunatly the growler is no longer operable and the mohair is worn in some places. This is all age related wear nd please bear in mind this bear is over 100 years old and this sort of wear and tear is expected. If i was to say the condition in a few words id say overall fair plus if you ignore its missing an eye.The bear itself is quite rare. When i heard the make of the bear when i saw it ror sale when i bought it i never heaed of FADAP. But doing a littlw research after my purchase i saw it is quite rare. The equivelent of the frech version of British Omega bears and quite difficult to get. I think therefore the bear is quite rare and to a collector should be of some desirability. Though dont quote me on that. Im no expert.
