This listing is for a lovely Antique/Vintage W.J. Terry Teddy bear from the 1930s. He is 20 inches tall and has lovely fluffy blond mohair fur. There are areas of thinning all round, especially on his back so please look at all the photos as they form part of the description. Other than thinning areas of mohair he is in excellent condition considering his age…..He is 5 way jointed and all joints move well and feel very secure. There is a little area of discolouration around his right leg joint but it is not very noticeable, especially when he is in a sitting or standing position. There is also a very small pink mark by the joint of his right arm. He has been very carefully cleaned and smells nicely of bear (no strong perfume smells) His paw pads are all original, they have a small amount of wear but are in good condition with no holes. There is still some stitching left on his right foot pad where the makers label would have been. He has his original glass eyes which were painted on the backs but some of this has now worn off, they are both very secure. He has all his nose and mouth stitching intact but there are no claw stitches.He has an non operative ‘clunky’ growler and the seam on his back has old hand stitching where he would have been closed up. He is completely filled with Kapok. He comes with his soft fur coat ( artificial fur) and hand knitted mohair cowl and brooch (cowl can be easily lifted over his head or undone by removing the brooch) He will come carefully wrapped in a strong cotton drawstring bag, bubble wrap and boxed and posted by Royal Mail next day 1pm special delivery (within the UK) with insurance to cover the full value.If you aren’t delighted with your bear you are welcome to return him to me for a full refund…(buyer pays return postage) He comes from a smoke free home.This bear is for adult collectors only and is not considered suitable for young children due to safety laws.Any questions please do ask and thanks for considering……..
