This listing is for a beautiful W.J.Terry Teddy bear from the 1920s. He is 26 inches long and retains most of his lovely soft fluffy blond mohair fur. There is some fur loss to the insides of the legs and around his right heel and a little area by his right eye…..(please also refer to photos) but he is in stunning condition considering his age…..He is 5 way jointed and they all move well…..His head has a bit of a wobble but the joint feels very secure.He has been very carefully cleaned and he smells nicely of bear, no strong perfume smells…..The paw pads are all original and in lovely condition, the foot pads have been sympathetically restored to retain the original material as they were badly torn….they have been reinforced inside so they are nice and secure. The pads do have some marks and discolouration which is to be expected with a bear of this age. He has his original eyes which are made of glass and were painted on the backs but some of this has now worn away…they are nice and secure. He has all his original nose and mouth stitching and a full set of claw stitching….the claw stitching on his foot pads were restitched after restoration work but match nicely.He has a very verbal push squeaker in his belly with no sharp edges poking through.His head is filled with a mixture of wood wool in his muzzle and kapok in his head and his body is nicely filled with soft Kapok.He comes with his lovely soft fur coat ( artificial fur) and hand knitted scarf.He will come carefully wrapped in a sturdy box and posted by Royal Mail Parcelforce 24 signed for delivery (within the UK) and will be posted with insurance to cover the full value. I will notify you with the tracking number as soon as he is posted.
