This listing is for ‘Benjy’ a gorgeous Antique/Vintage Farnell Teddy bear from the 1930s. He is 20 inches tall and has lovely fluffy honey blond mohair fur. There are areas of thinning all round and ask that you study the photographs closely as they form part of the description. Apart from his loss of fur in certain areas, he is in lovely condition considering his age…..Benjy is 5 way jointed and all joints move well and feel very secure. He has been very carefully cleaned and smells nicely of bear (no strong perfume smells) His paw pads are all original and intact, (no holes) there is discolouration to them particularly on his left foot pad but this does indicate that he has been well loved and played with.He has his original eyes which are made of glass, they were painted on the backs but most of this has worn off over time, both eyes are very secure. His head is filled with wood wool and his body is firmly filled with soft Kapok. He has a tilt growler which gives a teeny grunt on the odd occasion. Benjy has had sympathetic restoration work carried out to the back of his left ear, there was a hole which has since been reinforced with material from the inside, it matches in very well and his ear is now nice and secure. He comes with his soft fur coat ( artificial fur) and hand knitted alpaca yarn scarf. Benjy does have age related discolouration to his face, back of head and paw pads but he has heaps of character with his gorgeous upturned muzzle and cheeky smile, he’s a real delight to hold!

Benjy will come carefully wrapped and boxed and posted by Royal Mail next day 1pm special delivery with insurance to cover the full value.If you aren’t delighted with your bear you are welcome to return him to me for a full refund…(buyer pays return postage) He comes from a smoke free home.This bear is for adult collectors only and is not considered suitable for young children due to safety laws.Please save me as favourite seller as I will be selling more of my bears….Any questions please do ask and thanks for considering……..
