This lovely old english chap has become very worn! His eyes are not original – he had none when I first bought him, and I just had to sew on some new ones. I suspect his original eyes would’ve been smaller than the ones I gave him. He also has a lot of ‘playwear’ to his mohair (which is most obvious once you turn him onto his side! The ‘underside’ is MUCH more orange and the mohair is much more full on that side – a great indicator of how he would’ve once looked everywhere else!) His ears have also been reattached (a few times, in fact! He’s been picked up by his ears many times in his youth). While he retains his inner lining and his zip remains perfectly functional – I wouldn’t recommend using him as a storage compartment for any of your possessions! As you can see in the photo where I’ve opened him up, there are wood chippings loose, all over his pouch. This is stuffing from his head and legs – some of it has ‘escaped’ and drifted down. I’ve just had him on display for years, I’ve not used him as any kind of practical storage.

He measures 17.5 inches long (not including tail length) and is unjointed. Smoke free home. Thanks for looking

REGARDING THE FINAL TWO PHOTOS, PLEASE READ: In these photos have included Jungle Toys tigers and a leopard which are not included in this purchase. The reason I’ve included photos of the two tigers is because I think you’d like to see what this PJ case might’ve once looked like. I believe he was once just as bright orange as they are (as evidenced by his own underside), and I also think it’s likely he had little amber glass eyes like theirs (although Jungle Toys also sometimes gave these exact same tiger toys green eyes – like the leopard’s, and not just amber coloured ones. But, some of their earliest toys also had larger, clear, unpainted glass eyes. So, we can’t rule that 3rd possibility out). And I’ve included the leopard in those final two photos, so you can look at his chest-tag ID and compare how he looks with all 3 tigers – this will hopefully help you see the resemblance between all of them and this PJ case.

Fun fact: The real-life Christopher Robin’s ‘real’ Tigger toy was/is a sitting Jungle Toy tiger! Look up photos of Christopher Robin’s toys (which now live on show in the New York Library) and you’ll see just what I mean!
