This very unusual teddy bear (part of red stitched label still visible – please see photo) during, I believe the 1930s/1940s.
He is a lovely little character, measuring approximately 13″ in height and made from a gold coloured mohair.
He is in wonderful condition with no holes or bald patches and is all original.
He is four way jointed having no neck joint – joints are a bit loose, especially one of his leg joints. He has his original clear glass eyes with black pupils – right eye has gone slightly “frosted”.
He also has a blacked stitched nose and mouth.
He does not have any pads which is also rather unusual. He is very firmly stuffed with kapok throughout and has a non working squeaker in his tummy.
