Meet ‘Sooty’ a large and cuddly 1950’s-60’s bear possibly made by Chad Valley
although he doesn’t have any labels. Sooty stands at 17″ tall and is firmly stuffed
with kapok in his body and wood wool in his head, and he is five ways jointed
with all his joints working smoothly so he can be nicely posed.
Sooty is in very loved condition and is nearly bald with just a smattering of his
mohair plush and I would estimate he has retained approximately 10% coverage
overall and his backing fabric is straining at the seams in places and has laddered
although there are no actual holes. He has black rexine pads and courduroy which
are in very good condition with no holes or repairs. He also has a non working
squeaker in his large round tummy.
Being offered with a very reasonable buy it now price
