Very loved but lovely 1930’s Chiltern teddy bear in hand knitted clothes.
This 1930’s Chiltern teddy bear stands at 12″ tall and is in very loved condition but with bundles of charm and character. He is stuffed with kapok in his body and wood wool in his head and he is five ways jointed so he can be nicely posed. He is quite bald with only 15% of his mohair plush remaining and there are a couple of small holes in his backing fabric and paw pads. However, he is still a sturdy little bear and is also wearing an old hand knitted outfit to protect him from the cold and further damage. I particularly like the fact a previous owner has used the same wool from his outfit to darn some small holes in his left foot pad. His eyes are black glass replacements which suit him well and he is a sweet looking bear and would makea nice addition to any hug or sat in the lap of a larger bear.
