Charming large vintage character teddy bear of British origin, dating from 1930s
made of blonde mohair, stuffed with kapok and wood-wool throughout the body and head,
fully jointed,
has got replacement orange and black glass eyes,
original black vertically stitched nose with some general wear,replacement Y shape mouth stitching,
original well loved cloth pads have been recovered with brushed cotton,
original five claws stitching to feet,
little remains of stitching to paws,high hump,
dressed in antique white cotton hand embroidered dress.
Approx. 24″ (61 cm) tall.
Condition – item is in antique condition with general wear, thinning and balding, repair to the left side of muzzle; joints are fine, but head used to be glued, so there’s glue residue left around the neck (please see pictures for condition).
