This wonderful Chiltern Hugmee bear stands at a large 23″ tall and is an earlier bear
dating to the 1930’s with shaggy golden mohair and apart from a couple of minor damages
which could be fairly easily rectified he is in otherwise very good condition.
He is stuffed with kapok in his body and limbs and wood wool in his head and he is
five ways jointed with all his joints working smoothly so he can be nicely posed.
Hisstuffing has broken down in his arms, ankles and his neck joint has buckled so he has
a very schlumpy posture but I think this adds to his character.
He also has a very good coverage of his shaggy golden mohair with just one bare patch
which I have shown in the last photo just underneath his right cheek, which you can’t see
when he is facing forwards anyway. His velvet pads are also in good condition with just
a little loss to the velvet pile but no holes or damage apart from a repair on his right wrist.
The only other damage is a missing left eye so you would need to replace with a new pair
or find another to match the existing amber and black glass eye.
He is a really lovely looking larger size Chiltern bear in overall very good condition.
These earlier shaggy mohair bears are very collectable and he would make
a great addition to any hug.
