This Chad Valley bear is an impressive 30″ tall, measured from top of head to heel. His foot label dates him to the 1930’s. Overall for his age he is in fairly good condition.
He does have his faults, mainly his feet have had repairs to keep them as intact as possible, each foot has five claw stitches. His felt paws on his arms appear to be original, they have some repair work and need some stitching, his right arm has four claws, they are missing from his left arm. At the top of each arm, especially his left one the stuffing has been ‘pinched’ in, probably how he was carried around, he’s a large bear for a small child to carry. He has glass eyes, a stitched nose, his mouth stitching is missing, his left ear could do with a few stitches at the bottom. He is five-way disc jointed. His mohair is sparse and thinning in areas with a few bald patches, but considering his age he has done well to keep the fur he has. Stuffed with kapok in his body and I think woodwool in his head.
He is 30″ tall, his waist is 22″ and he has a nice weight too him.

He has been in my collection for a few years now, but I am reluctantly downsizing my collection, especially the larger bears.
He is wearing a hand knitted cardigan and is looking forward to meeting his new owner.
