Hugo is a gorgeous old boy who’s more than 100 years old. These apricot colour Steiff bears are harder to find and Hugo has quite a bit of his mohair although it is sparse in places, consistent with his great age. Measuring 15″, he has all original features, including boot-button eyes, nose and mouth stitching and importantly his original blank button! Hugo’s felt paw pads are perfect and his foot pads are carded and covered in original felt with just a couple of worn bits where the darker under layer of felt can be seen – I personally love this as it shows the Steiff method. He even has most of his original claw stitching. Hugo is 5-way jointed with the Steiff hump and stuffed with straw and kapok. He is nice and clean, from a smoke-free home, and will travel wearing his sailor jacket and hat.
