An antique C1910-20 Old Teddy Bear.
Teddy has a front closing seam, is woodwool (excelsior) filled. The filling is missing in one arm, has gone from his nose and in parts of his legs, the woodwool has gone very dry and feels crunchy to the touch.
Some mohair is missing, mainly in patches. His fabric is still strong.
All paw pads will need replacing, they were felt and he has old repair work on them, he has only one glass eye. One ear is loose, it’s the type that was cut into the head and glued.
He is 18 inches (45cm) tall.
Help is needed for this really old antique teddy bear to save him from a grizzly end. A restoration project that’s going to need a lot of patience, but I’m sure will be rewarding in the end.
