Louis is a superb antique Steiff Teddy bear c1925 with ff button in ear measuring 20″. He is solidly stuffed with wood wool. Louis still growlers when he is tilted and is in lovely condition with no less than 95% of his long shaggy mohair remaining and original eyes, nose, mouth and claw stitching. His foot pads are original and in superb in-faded condition whereas his hand pads have faded over the years, one has an insert in the tip, which leads me to think that he has worn shoes and trousers most of his life. He has two small darned areas on the side of his face but they are not too noticeable and are mostly covered by his long mohair there is also a very small area to the chest which has a teeny threadbare area. I took this in artificial light so the mohair looks much brighter. This is a beautiful Steiff bear with a wonderful majestic face which will surely steal your heart.
