Sadly having to sell my lovely worn bald old steiff bear. I believe he dates from around 1910 he is fantastic and full of character with is long arms and legs and centre finishing seam on his body. As you can see in his photos he is very bald, no fur at all and has never been restored as I love him just the way he is. He is all original and I believe his glass eyes are also original but I could be wrong and they may of been boot buttons. He is entirely stuffed with straw and all his joints are nice and tight, he has a squeaker in his tummy which is non working. He measures 10″‘heigh. He only has two paw pads remaining and no nose stitching left. He is a very solid little bear who only needs his paw pads recovering. Sadly his button is missing but I do think he is Steiff but please judge for yourself.
He has old stitching to his back where is hump should be ,I think this is why it looks flat (pls view my photos )
I can do the repairs if you whish or you can do it yourself or leave him just as he is. He is exactly how I bought him years ago from a bear dealer and has been kept in a display cabinet since.
I will miss this little fella but needs must :(
