This quirky old felt toy rooster might be homemade, it is hard to say because the slightly untidy hand stitched parts might be later repairs.I have not found another chicken/hen toy quite like him – the antique felt Steiff roosters I have seen pictures of look better made, so I leave it up to buyers/collectors to decide whether he is factory manufactured, or a handmade toy. Either way, he is a very decorative character and will sit well with old teddies and toys.The rooster stands about 11″ in height and about 11″ in length. He stands on a wood base which is covered with felt and another wool type fabric.He has tiny glass beads for eyes and is filled with an old stocking kapok card and felt.Please take time to view all of the photographs and to read the item description/condition report, prior to bidding.
