For Auction:This fabulous large early & rare large teddy bear by Merrythought .He measures a substantial 24 ins in length.Made from mohair and fully jointed.He has a pronounced early long snout and long arms with tapering velvet paws.He has a growler that no longer works.He has amber/black eyes, probably replacements with a stitched nose and an indication of a mouth.He has his original celluloid button on his back and original cloth label on his foot paw pad.He has had one of his ears re-stitched and a couple of repairs at his insteps.He has some loss of mohair/patches commensurate with age. Please see photos.Hard to source with button and label.This teddy has been well loved and has great character.Very traditional, cuddly and appealing.Don’t miss a chance to bid for this gorgeous antique bear.
