Crispin is a lovely old 1930’s Merrythought bear – very much on the tatty side but full of character and with a wonderful face. He is 19 inches tall and fully jointed. He is a mix of kapok and woodwool stuffed and has 3 replacement pads and one worn original which has the label on it. When he came to me all 4 pads were replacements so imagine my surprise to peek beneath and find his label – I then removed the covering pad. Crispin has lost most of his mohair and his fabric has darkened with age – in addition he has little tears to his head and odd eyes – both are replacements. In spite of all of this he is still wonderful and wears his vintage outfit which covers a multitude of sins……..and looks GORGEOUS! Please be aware – this bear is far from perfect – so only buy if you really like the tatty old characters. He is a wonderful bear in need of a loving home xxx
Please be aware I am a lover of the tattier old teds with oodles of character so bear this mind before buying – no bear will be perfect – far from it – but I guarantee they are all perfectly adorable. I try to list every bear accurately – if there is anything I forget I can only apologise – I try to put plenty of photos up so please take a good look as these form part of the description. I happily post overseas but anything over 40 in value HAS to be tracked hence overseas postage may seem a lot – if postage is less than quoted I will happily refund the difference.
