Meet Bert, a 1940s or 50s pyjama/nightdress case spaniel dog with glass eyes, nose stitching with a longer stitch at each end (possibly Merrythought?) and a straw filled head. He has a hole to his neck showing the straw within, see photo and is rather grubby but smells fresh and clean
His zip works well and the silk lining to his storage compartment is water stained (see pic) but not frayed. He is a darling old pup and would make a lovely unusual addition to any old bear collection.
