Lovely antique Merrythought teddy bear in a good clean condition.
Foot label and ear button in excellent condition and indicating a 1930s teddy bear.
Good covering of mohair but some balder patches, hands, backs of legs – see photos.
Fur has discolouration showing where his clothes has covered him from the light.
Sewn black stitches on hands and feet – all intact apart from right foot with one lose and one missing.
He has a sweet face and has been deservedly well-loved.
Comes wearing his red hand knitted jumper with moth holes and his navy hand knitted pants.
